We totally enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons. When we booked we got 3
nights for the price of two so it made the cost reasonable for what we
got. This was the nicest hotel room we have ever stayed in. We would go
back again and again just to stay here.

We spent 10 nights here pre 2010 Vancouver Olympics. The hotel was a
little quieter that usual and service was top notch. The ski concierge
is a great touch. All the staff at the concierge a mix of Brits and
Aussies were very friendly, professional and attentive. The rooms are of
high standard and the bed was probably the best of any hotel i've stayed
at in the world, if i could purchase a Four Seasons mattress - i would,
at any cost!
The restaurant was fantastic but expensive even by Vancouver/Whistler
standards but the food quality and presentation was very classy -
particularly the breakfasts, amazing and very special.
I could not fault this hotel, we liked it's almost discreet laid back
high end style of service , ambience and quality. We will be returning -
after we've saved up to pay for it!

Wow! We came to Whistler to get married and this was the perfect choice
of hotel. This is 5 star and then some more! The staff cannot do enough
for you! The ski concierge is such a nice touch and makes the sport so
much more enjoyable. A few times we would ask at reception where
something was in town and they said 'don't worry, jump in the four
seasons car and we'll take you there and wait for you', all at no
charge! The spa is amazing, the first time I've ever had a massage, it
was so good I had another in the second week! The restaurant serves
amazing food and made us a fantastic wedding meal, cake and extras for
the entire fortnight!
Only trouble is, we now compare every other hotel to this and wouldn't
think of staying anywhere else on a return to Whistler.

I had high expectations for this hotel, but it delivered, and then some!
The best about this hotel are the rooms: roomy, nicely decorated, cozy.
I have stayed in many Four Seasons hotels before, but for
accommodations, this is one of the very best.
Without a doubt the best hotel in Whistler.

My husband and I normally stay at the Chateau Fairmont in Whistler but
this time around, we got a special rate at the Four Seasons and decided
to try it out. We were there during the Canada Day long-weekend and
although the weather wasn't very hot, we had a fantastic time at the
Four Seasons, thanks to the service and just the layout of the hotel.
The rooms are very spacious with ample space for storage. The hotel has
a very lodge-like atmosphere so it feels cozy, relaxing and warm,
wherever you are in the hotel. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and
the gas fireplace is a very good plus (especially during the winter). I
loved all the small details that they put into making your stay as nice
and enjoyable as possible - flavored, cold water in the spa and lobby;
complimentary ice cream service at the pool; no fuss towel and bathrobe
availability in the spa; the Thursday dinner bbq offered during th
summer that has all the variety you'd want for a very decent price; and
the service that each employee aims to deliver is just astounding. It
isn't cheap - normally costs about $200 more than the Chateau Fairmont -
but it is well worth splurging. The only downside to our stay was the
over-priced valet parking. We will be returning to the Four Seasons
again in the near future.

My spouse and I stayed at the Four Seasons Whistler for a long weekend.
Spouse was attending a meeting with a group.
The hotel is very nice. Typical Four Seasons. We were upgraded to a
suite, as they had oversold their regular rooms. It was very nice. One
bedroom/Two baths. The main bath was large. Nice amenities. Nice fitness
center, although they lacked some of the bells and whistles. There was a
main fitness room as well as a "class" exercise room with lots of mats,
exercise balls, etc. The hotel did not have a list of available
equipment for me before arriving, but they went to lengths to find
someone to speak to me about what was available there generally.
The staff was very helpful. The bellmen and valets have cold water
bottles available as you head out for a hike, etc. There is usually
fruit and nice iced teas or lemonades available in the lobby in the
afternoon.

The hotel restaurant was lovely at lunch and the kitchen accommodated my
special request to add seared ahi tuna to a menu salad. It was
delicious.
The hotel is on the Blackcomb mountain. There are two mountains in
Whistler, and the base area of Whistler mountain is about a 10 minute
walk from the hotel. Most of the restaurants and the small
mountain-resort shopping are in the little "village" area at the base of
Whistler mountain.
(I noted that there is a ski valet at the base of Whistler mountain for
Four Seasons guests, which would be great in winter, as one wouldn't
want to walk that far in skis.)
In summer, the walk isn't bad and is rather enjoyable in good weather.
The hotel has some Mercedes GL SUV's for shuttle service around Whistler
for those who don't want to walk.
There is a LOT to do for those who enjoy outdoor activities in the
summer (and, obviously, skiing in the winter)! There is hiking nearby as
well as nice easy- to moderate-difficulty nature trails and bike trails
across from the hotel. Most of the hiking to altitude was not available
in Whistler when we were there in mid-June because there was still snow
up top that prevented hiking without snow gear. There were nice hikes
available a short drive away, though mostly flat, and there also are
great, serious hikes in Squamish at The Chief. (Speaking of Squamish, on
your way up or down from Vancouver to Whistler, do stop in Squamish and
have lunch at the Zephyr Cafe - a tiny cafe serving fresh, mostly
organic and lots of vegetarian items such as soups, salads and
sandwiches.)

There is limited biking on the ski mountain, and no hiking there! There
was spring skiing still available when we visited in mid-June, but the
conditions were less than ideal - - slushy and crusty.
There is not much to do for those who do not enjoy the outdoors. The
hotel has a spa, I believe, but I did not visit it. There is shopping,
but it is just your typical mountain resort base-area shopping. No
high-end boutiques or anything like that! |
