Hotel Review of the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre

What a pleasure, what a great time we had in this hotel. Imagine we arrived at
08.00 am. An early check-in was no problem. We were even upgraded to another
room (as the view on the fire station was not the most pleasant one…). The rooms
are so well equipped. A separate bed room with a comfortable bed and lots of
pillows. A bathroom with shower, bath and nice Aveda products (including bath
crystals). A living room with a gas fire and a comfortable sofa/bed. What a
view! We enjoyed cooking our meals in the perfectly equipped kitchen (the market
place with fresh products is in walking distance) and loved to have dinners in
our cosy room. A late check out? Also not a problem.
Maybe the season has not started yet but we would recommend this place to every
one. It was great! Thanks so much!Hotel Review of the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in early November. It was very quiet time
and we saw only few other customers. Pool was not in use because of the heating
problem. There was another pool available in different hotel but it is not the
same. Hot tub and sauna were available and hot tub was nice but the sauna was
not good and did not heat up enough. We had two room apartment and it was good
and spacious. Bed was very comfy and the bathroom had both shower and tub. I
would imagine this would be great apartment for two in winter season with all
your winter gear. There were two TV’s but the one in the living room was in a
cabinet just beside the fire place and the doors did not open well. Only few
places in sofa were good enough to watch TV. I would stay here again and will
recommend this to anyone looking for modern, well-located 4 star hotel in
Whistler.

First, know that there are two Pan Pacific hotels in Whistler. One is right by
the lifts ('Mountainside') and this one a few blocks farther away. This location
isn't necessarily inconvenient though as Whistler Village is quite compact and
pedestrian friendly.
The facility itself is nice enough. Rooms are a decent size with the
usual amenities expected of a chain hotel of this star rating. Beds are
adequate. No flat panel TVs, just old tube TVs and a DVD player is
attached. The windows open. Our room had a toasty fireplace and mini
kitchenette. HVAC is quite loud.

A must for Whistler Village; great room; great free breakfast and simply the
best staff I have ever come across. Voted the best in Whistler and more than
lives up to it.

We stayed 2 nights in the wonderful Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre hotel
and wished we were staying longer! The 1 bedroom suite we enjoyed had a kitchen,
living room with fireplace, bedroom and a nice bathroom with nice amenities. It
is nice to be able to open windows and the doors off the balcony for fresh air.
This hotel is nicely located in the village with plenty of shopping and places
to eat. The buffet breakfast was very good and the coffee was great! The staff
was very friendly and honest. Stay here is you can!

The Pan Pacific Whistler village centre is well located, right on the edge of
the pedestrian zone of the village. This means that shops and restaurants in the
lower village are easily accessible, while the upper village is just a few
minutes walk away across the day car parks. The Whistler mountain lifts are 5
mins or so walk away. This was fine as we were visiting in September, but
probably isn't as desirable if you are staying during ski season.Hotel Review of the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre

We ride the Whistler bike park during the summer and the Pan Pacific has two
great locations in Whistler. If you bring your bikes store them in the Pan
Pacific mountainsides storage room. Super easy and steps from the park. We love
both hotels but the Village centre has their continental breakfast every
morning. After spending so much time in whistler. Having such an easy time with
breakfast gets us fuelled and ready to go with no fuss. Always a great time.

We stayed here a couple years ago and we still cherish it as one of our best
vacations ever. Not only is the skiing great and the apres scene one of the best
we've experienced (and we live in Colorado and ski all over the state) but the
hotel was just lovely. The breakfast was delicious (and complementary) and the
rooms were spacious, modern and wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful.
We can't wait to go back.

The service was super, I called bc we were going to be coming in late-late at
night, and asked to have them make out the beds for the kids and they upgraded
us to a lovely suite for just a few bucks, really, like $40 a night. Room was
spotless, and breakfast was free for the whole family every day, so the kids
could eat whatever weird stuff they wanted and it didn't cost a fortune. Okay,
if that sounds weird or cheap - it isn't! breakfast for my people can run $100
easy-- that's gondola money! Downside? there is some construction across the
street, and they start work at 8:01am. But it is for the Olympics and it would
NOT keep me from staying there again. It is sort of at the end of the hotel road
(or the beginning) in any event- the views are lovely. The pool is quite small,
but the kids didn't mind and we were out anyway most of the time. It was a
lovely place to come 'home' to and had a full kitchen too. We will go back there
for sure.

We too chose this hotel because of the good reviews on this website. We had a
one bedroom lower room with balcony as the price was considerably cheaper than a
high floor. This exceeded our expectations as we still had a great view of
Blackcomb mountain from our balcony. The room had all the amenities required and
we were impressed at the attention to detail by housekeeping staff.
The hotel is in what we thought was the best location with a lovely pool area.
Breakfast was adequate and fresh (would have preferred hot eggs!)
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
We chose not to pay for hotel parking as felt it was quite expensive. We parked
on Lot 4 which is opposite the front of the hotel and about a 5-10 minute walk
(free parking).
Overall an excellent hotel we would stay here again and certainly recommend.

Just spent one night on a quick tour of BC. Rooms (a two bedroom apartment and a
one bed apartment) were excellent. Kitchen facilities were very good (even
though we did not use them). Bathrooms excellent. Pull out bed not as
comfortable as could be expected though.
Location excellent. Breakfast better than expected, considering some earlier
reviews, pool area adequate. Outside of the bedrooms the hotel lacks a little in
facilities and staff appear to be young. For a first visit to Whistler it has a
Disney like feeling and is very different to the European ski resorts.
Would certainly recommend this accommodation for the room facilities. |
