Hotel Review of the
Sundial Boutique Hotel Whistler

1 night to look at Whistler out of season.
Nice welcome, friendly receptionist who gave map & dining recommendation.
Room massive, well appointed, & with kitchen with outdoor hot tub.
Nothing adverse to say except parking (secure) probably more expensive than
public (slightly less secure) parking in same place next door.
No food within hotel.
Wi-Fi worked but not fully for mobile..

We came up to Whistler for just a quick getaway and found a great rate with
Sundial at $119 per night. It was such a steal for the room that we got. We got
a large 1 bedroom suite that was close to 750 sq ft and was nicely laid out. The
living room felt very home-y and the kitchen was well stocked. Our bedroom was a
good size and had a Jacuzzi tub in the room as well, which we took full
advantage of! The best part of the suite was the heated floors in the bathroom!
My only complaint about the room itself was the television screen in the bedroom
is much too small to watch anything from the bed, but we used the one in the
living room anyways.
If we could get a good rate next time, we would love to stay here again!

We stayed at Sundial for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. We had 5 adults and a
child and got a 2 bedroom suite with a living area and kitchen. There was plenty
of room for all of us...not at all cramped. We cooked 1 night and loved that the
kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The room was very clean
and comfortable. We chose this hotel because of the great reviews and also its
central location to the village and the gondolas/lifts. I HIGHLY recommend this
hotel. You won't regret it.

Really great place to stay, just around the corner from the mountain, shopping
and dining. Rooms very nice and equipped, we were party of 8 and we were very
comfortable, my 3 years old baby was the happiest of all. I absolutely will
visit it again

Parents and 2 teenage sons spent 3 nights in a 2 bedroom unit that was
beautiful. The full kitchen was great for pop, pizzas & reheating leftovers.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Parking is VERY limited throughout Whistler. We arrived at 10 pm on a Saturday
night and all of the Sundial reserved spots were occupied. After a long search
we were finally given a pass to park in another hotel's lot. Except for parking
the Sundial is a 5. We had a great experience and would definately recommend
this hotel. A great value.

This was by far the nicest hotel of the four we used in B.C. The two bedroom
suite we stayed in was clean and had down comforters. The kitchen was well
stocked for cooking, and the kids were very excited that there were televisions
in both bedrooms and the living room. The view from the windows of the mountain
was great; we even saw a bear crisscross it one night. Finally, the location
within Whistler Village was perfect. The only complaint I had was that the water
pressure in the shower was less than desirable. Otherwise, this would definitely
have been a 5.

We stayed at the Sundial boutique for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. Our
suite was fantastic with great views over the Blackcomb mountain. The rooms were
well appointed and modern. You could hear the bars a little in the evening but
not enough to disturb us. We didn't use the hotel's facilities during our stay
(restaurant, bar, hot tub). A great stay and we would return.

We chose this property because of the excellent ratings. We found that the two
room suites were perfect. I recommend booking early enough to get your own spa.
The roof-top unit is inconvenient. If you like to check your own skis, consider
the Pan Pacific Mountainside- half of our group stayed there and we will as well
in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Sundial Hotel during our tour of the Rockies. We
found the reception staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful at check-in. We
had a one-bedroom suite, with sofa-bed for the boys in the lounge. There was a
small kitchen area with large fridge, oven and dishwasher. We had a small
balcony which looked out over the gondola, the boys enjoyed watching the
mountain bikers. The suite was comfortable and clean, and reasonably spacious.
We were glad of the A/C in the lounge as it was very hot during our stay - the
reception staff advised us to close all the curtains and leave the A/c on during
the day, and that certainly worked - could have done with A/c in the bedroom
too. We were there over a busy weekend, and it was a little noisy on the
Saturday night, but I guess that's inevitable in a busy resort. It's a short
walk to the base of Blackcomb Mountain where there are various kids activities
including putting and a luge. We found there were less queues for the chair-lift
(compared with the gondola at the base of Whistler Mountain), and at the top,
you can take a free bus to the glacier/ski area. Then back for the peak-to-peak
gondola (from Blackcomb to Whistler mountain) - amazing! All shops were close
by, and great to be able to have breakfast in our suite and cook the odd meal.
There was also free wifi which was great. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and
would recommend. Just wish it had a pool!

We were lucky to get a great suite on the 8th floor with our own (huge) private
deck and hot tub. Gorgeous views, great location, large and comfortable
accommodations. Nice bathroom. Right at base of Whistler lifts. We stayed for
three nights and were very happy here.

We stay in a two bedroom suite with a hot tub in the balcony. The view of the
whistler and Blackcomb mountains is amazing! The staff in the front desk is very
helpful. We are able to get early check in and that is great because we have a
lot of baby stuff. We have our first meal in The Old Spaghetti Factory. Food is
just average but the service is very good! For the dinner, we try the Japanese
restaurant "Sushi Village" which located inside the hotel. I wonder why it can
rank no.1 restaurant in Whistler. The staff there are so impolite, bad food and
the place looks very dirty. I will never go there again. |
