We had a good time here, but were surprised that this was rated so
highly on TA (perhaps the good prices were what people liked). The 2
bdrm suite was advertised as having a kitchenette (really it just has a
tiny closet with minibar sized fridge with a microwave and toaster and a
cofee maker. There is no place to sit and eat and it is just tiny (the
closet crammed with appliances called a "kitchenette").
The restaurant Jordans Crossing was great for dinner, but at breakfast
we spent over an hour to get a basic egg and toast order for the kids
(and nearly missed ski school because it took forever with the poor
service--she was new).
They have a shuttle to the ski areas but I recommend getting a car.
Either way you are gonna walk with your skis to the slopes (they dont
drop you right at the lifts), plus you have to book the shuttle in
advance--it does run on the hour.
Finally the front desk is trying to be helpful, but just doesn't know
much. You ask about ski school and they don't really know where it is
(there's one giant kids ski school here and they should have some basic
info on where to drop off your kids etc)--or what time your kids need to
turn up for morning session. Since this is their core business in this
ski area I would expect them to be in the know on this.
I recommend paying more and staying in Whistler Village closer to the
action if you are with kids.
Oh one more interesting tidbit the internet is free and high speed but
it is cable connected so you can only hook up in 2 spots in a 2 bedroom
suite.

We stayed during the Paralympics and the hotel was quiet. We had an
excellent room with view of the lake. The studio room has a large
bathroom, a very good King size bed and comfortable sitting area with
gas open fire. Walking distance to Creek side gondola and the hotel has
ski storage just near the gondola. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Dinner in the restaurant excellent but also the bar food is great as is
the coffee shop.
The hotel offers a shuttle to Whistler but only once per hour. However
the public buss ervice gets you there just as fast. Lots of restaurants
in Whistler, we particularly liked the Keg as good value for money,
because in general eating out life in Whistler is very expensive! Place
to definitely avoid is the Sportsman Chophouse just across the road from
the hotel. Bad service, average food but you pay the top price.
What we really liked about this place is that they do not come up with
these maddening extra charges for everything. Internet is free, the
locker for your skis is free, the shuttle is free. These people
understand service.
All in all this is a great place to stay if you prefer easy acces to the
ski slopes but peace and quiet afterwards. We will definitely be back

I was quite disappointed. Before our stay I read the reviews and they
were all very good. Well our experience: the hotel is not really
boutique hotel, no wi-fi in rooms, complications with shuttle transfers,
very bad TV service ... our friends got a really tiny room, ... like I
said I expected more form the hotel and services. We stayed a week
before in Pan Pacific in Whistler village - a much better choice!

the most beautiful location with its own lake and walks around the lake.
Top standard room with large high spec bathroom, underground parking,
excellent customer service. We ended up staying longer than planned
because we loved it that much! we can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Nita Lake Lodge, January 23rd 2010 for one night.
We had an early check in and our room was ready and available for us to
dump our bags and go in to Whistler Village. - Just as a rough idea, we
were told that its about 45min walk from the Hotel to Whistler Village,
if you are the walking type of people. - but if not, don't worry as the
Hotel puts on a courtesy shuttle that leaves the hotel on the hour,
every hour. And it drops you off at the Village and its a 2min walk to
the ski lifts. If you want to catch a ride back to the hotel from the
village, just ring the hotel and they will put you on the list for
pick-up, which picks you up from the village at 10 past on the hour,
every hour.
The service was great, we booked a snowmobile fondue trip to the top of
Blackcomb mountain on the Saturday night and the 6pm shuttle was booked,
and we asked if there were any cancellations or no-shows, could they
contact us in our room, so we got a call at 5:50pm thinking we were on
the 6pm shuttle so we could meet for 7pm, but they told us that they
would put on an extra shuttle for us as there was still no room on the
6pm shuttle.
The only disappointing thing for us, was that we didn't stay long enough
at this hotel, it had the whistler charm, and mountain chalet feel that
was warm and cozy with modern wood furniture.
The rooms are great, huge bathrooms by any hotel standards, a neat
little kitchenette with basic needs, plates, bowls, mini fridge,
microwave. It was more than enough for a weekend away. The showers are
huge, lovely and hot! - just what you need after a chilly day in
whistler! The beds are very comfy, and I had the best nights sleep ive
had in about 3 months!!
A definite recommendation from us! - if we could change one thing, it
would be the location, but with the shuttle service its great!!

We stayed at the Nita Lake Lodge just before the Whistler Olympics. The
rooms and the setting are fabulous. Much preferred staying here vs
Whistler Village. Getting back and forth was a bit annoying but we
usually walked and its easy to catch a cab (I hate shuttles).

We stayed with our young son for a family ski trip and had a great time.
Shuttle was very convenient for getting back and forth. Rooms were
great. The food was definitely a highlight, we were pleasantly surprised
at the quality for breakfast and dinner. I absolutely recommend the crab
risotto.
Well worth a stay and even just for dinner if you are staying somewhere
else.

Hotel is amazing. The lake is more like a pond, but it was frozen over
with families and dogs playing on it. Very good holiday sight seeing.
Hotel staff were very friendly and informative. The rooms are beautiful.
The bed was very comfortable. The tub is perfectly sized for a soaking
couple. The bathroom design has inspired me to incorporate it into my
dream house. The suite area is well furnished and romantic. In short,
the hotel room was tough for this couple to leave
