Had a good stay at mountainside lodge. we booked a loft room which had the two levels!
Very cozy with the fireplace and the kitchen was great and spacious. Predominately spent the day skiing - the sauna in the room was pretty awesome but didnt really use it.
Must say loved the fact that it had a laundry - by the time we got to whistler we didn't have many clean clothes left so that was really helpful.
Ski storage available - albeit we had some trouble with our combination lock for our ski locker and it wound up being broken/wrong combination so that was a bit annoying but the staff resolved it quickly.
Overall had a good stay in whistler at this hotel

This hotel is good value, the rooms were very acceptably furnished ( indeed better furnished and more spacious than we had expected from the website photos and descriptions) and the location is quite perfect being just a couple of minutes walk to the ski lifts and the main village streets. The hotel is not luxurious, but then it is priced accordingly. The furnishings and kitchen equipment in our loft suite were smart and adequate, and they were not worn, tatty or shabby as you might sometimes fear with this standard of hotel. For a couple I would recommend the loft suite if you it is within your budget, you can then sleep in the proper bed in the comfortable balcony bedroom upstairs and enjoy the lounge area at all times - without having to disturb the lounge in the evening to convert it into a sleeping area which is the case with the studio suite. If you use the loft suite to sleep more people than a couple, be aware that the loft is partly open to the floor below so whilst it is visually private, noise does easily transfer between floors. If that is not an issue for you, you will find the loft suite quite roomy enough for four people. Our loft suite overlooked the pool area and we did not have any problems with street noise at all, staying on Saturday and Sunday nights in early January. As mentioned in other reviews the fact that there is only one lift in the hotel does cause delays, and if you are fit enough to take the stairs, I would recommend that you do so whenever possible to avoid frustration. Those who like a hotel breakfast should not choose this hotel; we were happy to prepare our own breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the facility to use our kitchen for snacks and drinks at other times. We felt the parking charge for the garage was perfectly reasonable as it is so convenient, and the staff are happy for you to park all day on the day of your arrival and on the day of your departure. Whistler is a charming, and large, alpine style village, with many good bars, restaurants and ski wear shops to choose from, the skiers in our party were impressed by the range of ski runs, and there are several other activities to choose from, for example snowmobiling which we found to be great fun. I'd thoroughly recommend it as a great place for a winter holiday.

Three of us stayed here for 11 nights during December. The purpose of the stay was purely to ski, so we were out of the room for the majority of the day, using it only to sleep! We had a loft room, which consisted of a double sofa bed, and a separate den-like bedroom located on the balcony above the living room. There are two bathrooms in the loft-suites which makes life easier. The room was just big enough for three adults - I wouldn't recommend trying to squeeze any more in as there is limited storage space for this length of stay. Overall the room was comfortable and well-equipped; The kitchen was great and had all the essentials.

The Hotel has one of the best locations in Whistler in my opinion. It is less than two minutes from the lifts (if you cut through by the Pan Pacific hotel). It is also about two minutes from the Market in the village square and the other shops and bars etc.

There are a couple of down-sides to this hotel which is why I have given it four out of five.... Firstly, it can be noisy at night. The room we were in backed on to the main road, and the hotel fronted on sundial place which can also be busy. This means that when it snows you can be kept awake all night by the snow ploughs trying to clear the road.

Secondly, the lift in the hotel can be a problem.... we were on the 5th floor and would often opt to use the stairs instead of wait an eternity for the lift to arrive (oh well, kept us fit!). This is mainly caused by the fact there is only one lift which is frequently used by the staff to shift all the linen and cleaning products.

This was our 6th trip to Whistler, and easily the best... I would definitely recommend this hotel, but don't expect too much luxury.... it is only a three star

We were upgraded from the Studio to the Loft upon arrival, although the front staff was young and seemed like they just couldn't wait to get off their shift, the place was truly perfect for a stay at Whistler! It was just 2 minutes from the Gondola at the base and the bus stop. The rooms were really packed with various amenities: kitchen, 2 bathrooms, fireplace, sauna everything you needed!
Staff was disappointing in attitude, but did they job minimum, luckily didn't have to deal with them and the quality of room was pleasing and I will come and stay there again, one of the cheapest hotels in the area too!!

We stayed three nights while in Whistler for a conference, and the deal for three nights (at roughly $56 per night plus parking) was the best part. The room was clean, and the maid service extremely attentive. However, the noise just outside the hotel was extreme - loud partying well into the wee hours (and this isn't even the busy season!) In addition, the only bed in the room was a murphy bed, and though I don't have back issues ordinarily, I did have a sore back and hips upon waking each day. If you can get a steal of a deal (as we did!) and you're not worried about your back - bring your ear-plugs and enjoy! In room wireless connection was very slow.

I stayed here for only one night and came in on an early bus from Vancouver just to see the mountains. When I came in at 10:30 am the staff allowed me to check my bags while I went out hiking, and when I came back around 3 my room still wasn't ready so they upgraded me for free to a loft room. This room was amazing with plenty of space, and a personal sauna and jacuzzi tub, which was amazing. As well, even though it was snowy/rainy and cold and very quiet in Whistler the pool and hot tub were still heated warm enough for me to head out there to relax for a little while. Overall this was a great day for me, and the hotel was really relaxing. I do think that this hotel would be noisy during the busy season, but I imagine all of Whistler would be.

Mountainside Lodge Whistler Room was large with full suite amenities. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. This hotel is in the center of the village, and it is a wonderful place to enjoy the village atmosphere. It is among the older but very nice hotels in Whistler. Everything was top notch except the bed, which was hard, and the air conditioning was inadequate for the unseasonably warm temperature.
