We have our timeshare in this hotel and we love it. We usually have one
bedroom place with a kitchen. One time we even had our Thanksgiving
dinner there, the kitchen has everything you need.
Its easy in, easy out by car with an underground parking and the hotel
is about a 10 min walk to the slopes and less than 5 to the center of
the village.
There is a heated outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs with views of Whistler and
Blackcomb mountains. There is also a ski rental shop located off the
lobby and a little fitness room, so it has everything you and your would
family need.

Cascade Lodge Whistler

We booked the Cascade lodge because it was the best priced accommodation
over the Christmas period.
The location is great, 5-10 minutes walk to the lifts, lots of shops &
restaurants nearby. At night it was very quiet, we have stayed at other
hotels in the main village area which were very noisy at night. The
Cascade is just on the outskirts but not too far away.
We had a studio room overlooking the pool & mountains. The view was
fantastic.
The pool is open from 10am-10pm, we didn't hear any noise after 10pm.
The studio was fine, no more, no less then of 3 star standard. The room
itself is the size of a hotel room with a mini kitchen. The kitchen is
great for breakfasts but not ideal to cook dinner as it is very small.
We had dinner out each night so that wasn't a problem.
The bed was comfortable, a nice flat screen tv, the bathroom was clean
with a deep soaker bath. The furnishing were a little dated but the room
was very clean so that didn't bother us. For the price we paid compared
to other hotels over this period we were happy. You will find a lot of
hotels in Whistler have wear and tear as it is a ski resort.
The service at the hotel was ok, not particularly friendly or helpful.
As we know the resort this wasn't a problem but some people mind find
this annoying.
The pool and hot tub are a bonus and of a good size.
Most or all of the accommodation at the Cascade Lodge is privately owned
whether this affects the standard of the other accommodations at the
hotel i'm not sure.
I would recommend this hotel if you like clean, basic accommodation.
We would stay here again if it was the best value at the time of
booking. It was one of the better 3 Stars we have stayed at in Whistler.

We were fortunate enough to get this booking through my mother in law who is a
Worldmark member. For that reason this was amazingly priced compared to other
Whistler hotels. Even our Canadian friends were gob-smacked by the price.
Cascade Lodge is in a great location, very close to the village and lovely
walking trails.
The apartment was a decent size with a big bedroom, huge wardrobe, and a balcony
that stretched to the lounge area, beautiful bathroom and kitchen, laundry
facilities in the room and a great sized lounge with dining room table. The
full-sized fridge was a nice change from most serviced apartments.
We were really comfortable the entire time and found the staff helpful and
friendly.
Our bedroom was on the highway side, so it was noisy in the early morning with
the window open but had been quiet all night until the trucks started to roar
past and to be honest, there was no need to even have the window open, we should
have just adjusted the thermostat.
I guess it's something to be mindful of, especially while all the road
construction is going on in the area leading up to the Olympics.

Staying in the WorldMark portion of the lodge. Not luxurious, but very adequate.
One bedroom, full kitchen, fireplace, sleep couch. Great for two-three people,
no more. Very convenient to everything in the Village. There is a small balcony,
with no view to speak of, mostly spruce trees. No problem though. Food in
Whistler is very expensive, groceries are double what they are in states.
Haven't been to many restaurants yet, except Southside Diner. Breakfast was
good, huge portions on all meals. Wireless available for 16.00 for ten days.
cheap enough. I would recommend to anyone.
Since we don't have to pay, I can't compare to other lodges as to the value. We
are very satisfied.
We arrived around 9p, desk was open till 11pm.

We stayed for two nights in a great 1 bedroom unit. We really liked the spacious
layout, with a large sofa (also a pull out bed). Great kitchen, which surprised
me. All the mod cons with dishwasher, washer/dryer in unit, flat screen TV and
DVD player. You also get a free DVD each night with ResortQuest.
The location is great in summer, you are close to the village and our room had
some of the best views of both mountains - breath taking!
I think this hotel has the biggest pool in Whistler - it's fantastic!
The front desk is 24hours so we had peace of mind. They were all very helpful
and suggested activities, restaurants and always offered help. Great job!
Will definitely go back!

I stayed at Whistler Cascade Lodge and was very satisfied with the location
right next to the main Whistler Village entrance. The price was fair and the
room was well-equipped with a full kitchen, but there were no cleaning services
during my 5 day stay. Overall though, it was a good experience.

I arrived by coach from Vancouver and this hotel is directly over the road from
where you get dropped off. It is also a two minute walk into the main drag of
Whistler village and there is a shuttle bus that picks you up and drops you off
for the slopes just opposite. In the morning you are the first to be picked up
which means that you can actually get on the first bus and get out there. First
stop on the way back too. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and
friendly and a bonus was that there is a ski hire shop in the hotel so all under
one roof! Good quality gear on rent and they were also really cheery and helpful
too. I had a studio room as I was there on my own for a few days. Comfortable,
well appointed with a small kitchen, flat screen TV, DVD player etc and a decent
bathroom. Two could live comfortably for a week and sheer luxury in comparison
to sharing a small room in France for instance. Hot tubs were always popular
when people came off the slopes and good for a chat. |
