My parents, former snowbirds unable to travel to the states any longer decided to try out Victoria and we booked them a suite at the Travelodge Victoria. I stayed with them for 3 of their 10 weeks. The accommodation and cost were amazing in value. Super clean and comfortable; large suite and well furnished with all the amenities one would expect in a home! Can't say enough about the staff, from front desk to cleaners to handyman. This great team was led by General Manager Darryl Wilson, who was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, treating my parents like they were in a 5 star vacation resort. Any needs were responded to quickly and efficiently. Far above and beyond what I have seen at any rated 5 star hotel we've ever stayed at. The location is great for travellers without vehicles as the city bus stops literally right in front of the hotel and from there travels city wide. The view of the Gorge, which is right beside the hotel is serene and pretty and it takes less then 30 minutes to walk along the trail from the hotel to the downtown core. Very comforting to know that my parents were in a safe and comfortable spot where they were so well cared for. They enjoyed themselves so much that they have already booked to return this winter and plan to stay the entire season. Thanks again to Darryl and staff for making this a truly wonderful stay for a couple of older folks escaping the harsh Ontario winters!

We stayed in July at this location and were very pleased. A quiet location, rooms very nice and we were able to check into our room early am by taking a room w/2 queens instead of 1 king-but w/a kitchenette also at no extra cost. Very clean, good solid beds, big screen T.V. Breakfast was good but took a long time. Breakfast was run independent of hotel & it w/busy. Staff was very professional and helpful. If we ever come back this is where we will stay.

This hotel was an okay value -- pretty average. Unfortunately for the cost we paid, over $100, no breakfast was included. We arrived on a late ferry and that was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and everything else is as you would expect of a motel. The hotel is located a couple of kilometers from downtown Vancouver and there are several shuttles offered per day to take you downtown so you don't have to drive. The hotel is attached to a noisy nightclub which I thought would be loud, but the noise ended at a reasonable hour and the room was well insulated.

A bit better than standard Travelodge, fine pool, very good value, nice large room at Ok prove, and really excellent location, very close to downtown Victoria

This place is very nice but it's not particularly close to anything. We were visiting a friend about a half a block away so it worked well for us but if you need any services the hotel doesn't provide (it does have laundry and vending machines) it's well beyond walking distance but if you have a car it's a reasonably short drive to the heart of the city.

The pool is very nice, it seems to be the envy of the area judging from some comments we overheard from some local children. The rooms were great except for the antiquated TV, the rest of the decor however was much nicer than you might expect from a Travelodge (if not for the TV it could be mistaken for a Hilton or a Hyatt from the inside). Wired internet access worked fine for me and having a fridge in the room at no extra charge is always a nice treat especially on a road trip. My then 3-year-old son thought the place was amazing and talks about it to this day - it was only his second hotel stay (both being Travelodges) but this is the one he remembers fondly, particularly he felt the bed was great. If you have reason to be in the area it's a great place to stay.

I filled out an online survey many days after and management was very responsive to my suggestions which I felt was a very professional touch. All they need to get this place to Excellent would be another vending machine with more diverse options such as Tums and to upgrade their TVs.
