This hotel was classy some 20 yrs ago. We booked it because it was cheap for
such a good location. Service was good so there was little to complain about.

This was my second visit to the Huntingdon Hotel & Suites. The location is great
- right by the harbour, parliament buildings and just a short walk into town.
Lots of options for eating close by. I have always managed to get very good
rates here from various website. On this visit there was a problem with our room
and the staff were wonderful about sorting things out and we ended up in a suite
- which was really lovely. Huge room located on 2 floors with a view of the
harbour. All the staff were very friendly and on both visits I have found the
hotel to be very clean. Would definitely stay here whenever in Victoria.
Although you have to pay for parking at the hotel, there is often free parking
on the streets just outside the hotel

This is a great option for staying in Victoria, Vancouver Island. It's a block
away from the parliament building, near a whole bunch of other similar style
hotels. The room was cheap, but was big and had two beds. We didn't have a room
with a view of the harbour - those cost extra. They have secure underground
parking, but do charge for it. Good friendly staff and quiet.

We checked in a 9 pm, the room we were first given had dirty bed sheets and
toilet, the second room had dirty bed sheets. The lone staffer on duty spent a
good deal of time just trying to find a room with clean sheets. We were given a
loft suite on the top floor (after 90 minutes since checking in), although not
all of the bed clothing was clean, we accepted that the bed sheets were clean
and settled in for the night, only to find out that a mechanical sound from the
roof ran continuously all night. Needless to say neither my wife or I had a much
sleep. Although the front desk acknowledged that we did not have a good
experience, the only offer was to not charge us for parking. I must give cudos
to the staff member in her efforts to find us an acceptable room, but I am
disappointed that the hotel has yet to contact us. We have travelled to many
parts of the world, including third world countries and have never had this kind
of experience.

I didn't like much about this hotel. For one thing when I booked through
Booking.com. I thought I was getting it 2 nights for 154. When I checked out I
was charged 91 for each night, 28 dollars more than I planned. Then all the
pluses. 15 for each night of parking, 15 extra each night for my little dog....
