we only stayed here 1 night and wish we would have booked more nights. We had a
1 bedroom suite which was huge and amazing: 2 bathrooms, a huge living room with
a flat screen, fireplace, a full sized kitchen, another flat screen in the
bedroom with 2 outdoor patios. The property was new, immaculate and offered tons
of amenities including underground secured parking. This would be a great place
to make as a base camp for visiting the Victoria area. We only had 2 nights in
Victoria; we spent 1 night at the inner harbor so that we could walk around and
not worry about parking and the 2nd night at the Westin Bear Mountain. The
Westin is about 30 minutes from the inner harbor so it is a bit of a drive but a
great area outside of the city. We used it for a stop on our way further north
which was a great option and saved us from fighting morning rush hour traffic
trying to get out of Victoria.Reviews of Westin Hotel Bear Mountain Victoria

I was volunteering for a company golf tournament and stayed for 3 days. I was in
the fairways building. The room was great, big, really big. The view of the golf
course was very pleasant as was sitting out on the balcony having coffee and
reading the paper. I cannot say I have much to complain about. The rooms are
clean and very comfortable. My wife ate a the restaurant and was really happy
with the price and quality of the food considering it is a hotel where prices
are usually inflated ( this may be because there is little choice in the area).
Victoria is not far away, there are wineries near by, touristy things to do and
of course a great golf course. The athletic centre is fantastic. Overall it is a
great place to indulge in nothingness, golf or an overpriced spa.

Lovely hotel in Mt Village setting, fantastic golf courses, short drive back to
malls and shopping. Good sized room, huge balcony, great food, golf shop in
hotel, free internet, attentive staff. Lovely area to walk, outside skating rink

I stayed here on business for a treat. The rooms were advertized at very low
prices. To be fair, the room was way nicer than anywhere else you would stay at
that price range in the Victoria area and there are very few hotels in Langford.
However, when I checked my credit card later, I saw several separate charges,
some unexpected. I was charged $12 for two small bottles of water which I
assumed were free because there was nothing telling my otherwise and lots of
hotels I stay at offer free water. Who charges $6 for a small bottle of water?
There was the resort fee and I had only stayed to sleep, didn't even go past the
lobby, so that felt like a bit of a ripoff. There was room service which I was
aware of but all the charges built in added up. The eventual cost for such a
brief trip did muddy what was a great overall first impression. Gorgeous room,
lovely bath, felt luxurious and comfortable and had a balcony, albeit no real
view. In my opinion, there isn't a lot to do in the Langford area to draw me
there for any other reason than business. I enjoyed it but probably wouldn't go
back unless my expense account was raised and that's not going to happen soon. |
