Guest Reviews of the Victoria Regent Hotel

we stayed here for 2 nights after recommendations on Trip Advisor. The location
was perfect, right on the harbour and within easy working distance to everything
in downtown Victoria. The 1 bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, as we had
our 2 year old son with us and there was ample room for us all. The staff were
great, i would recommend this hotel to anybody needing a great location and
spacious rooms. To wake up in the morning, and enjoy the view out on the harbour
was spectacular - also got to see the "water taxi" dance where they all put on a
show on the water right in front of the hotel

Easy to find with an excellent central location from which to explore beautiful
Victoria. Located right on the harbor of downtown, the balconies overlook
sailboats and seaplanes landing and departing and well as face the downtown
buildings on the otherr side. Our 2 bedrooms was VERY spacious with a huge
living area dividing the two bedrooms and their full baths. A full kitchen
completely stocked provided everything we needed.
Included parking was provided under the hotel with elevators taking you directly
to your floor. A very ample continental+ breakfast was provided in a suite off
from the lobby area each morning. Housekeeping was excellent and employees
extremely service oriented. Beautifully landscaped entrance area. Wireless
internet was also a plus.

My daughters, grandbabies and I spent several days in Victoria at the Regent. We
were upgraded to the 8th floor penthouse, a spacious 2 bedrm, 2 bath suite,
complete with den, kitchen with laundry, dining area and huge livingroom with
fireplace and large terrace overlooking the harbor.. We flew into the harbor and
docked right below the Regent (for future guests who fly in this way, hotel
management should meet them at the dock or allow parking garage access, as
baggage/baby handling is tough, with a steep climb up the driveway and down the
street to the hotel entrance.) The harbor views are spectacular, you can spend
all day watching seaplanes, yachts, kayaks and harbor patrol as well as observe
gulls, and feel the sea breeze. Housekeeping did a great job and were flexible
when we were in the room. Grocery store is a bit of a walk across the bridge,
with construction, be careful what side you begin on, as you may need to cross
the street and traffic can be heavy. We took full advantage of the kitchen, and
all appliances worked well. I would not, however order again from the restaurant
connected with the hotel. Portions were small, there is a charge for delivery
and there are better choices close by. The Regent is located perfectly to be
able to walk the city center and enjoy boutiques, cafes and the Empress is just
down the street. I would stay here again, and highly recommend this lovely spot
for any type of visitor. (Their front garden was spectacular, with most plants
in bloom and vivid colors to greet you!)Guest Reviews of the Victoria Regent Hotel

We travel quite often, but the Victoria Regent was the best resort/hotel
experience we have had. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the
accommodations were roomy, clean, and comfortable. We reserved a one bedroom,
Harbor View suite, but once we arrived, we found we had been upgraded to a 2
bedroom Harbor View suite. The all-window view is fabulous, and the flower
gardens in front of the hotel are stunning!!
Housekeeping was great! We didn't get out of our room until lunch time each day,
but we never saw anyone from housekeeping. Unlike some places we have stayed,
they did not harass us to get in, yet our rooms were clean and made up each day
when we returned.
We had never stayed in a room without air conditioning, but it was secure enough
to leave the patio doors open all night, which kept it cool enough throughout
the day.
While the air and water taxis were a bit noisy, we found that a noise machine
adequately drowned out the noise in the early morning. We were on the third
floor, so I think it would be quieter and there would be less exhaust fumes on a
higher floor.
We were planning to use shuttles and taxis, but after determining the cost of
each, we rented a car at the airport, and we were glad we did. While the hotel
is within a few blocks of many restaurants and attractions, we found other
attractions that were further away, so a car was less expensive than taxis and
shuttles. The underground parking was free, and we never had a problem finding a
space.
Beautiful city, great trip!
