Convenient location.
I stayed in two deferent rooms, 4 days each. The bedding had unpleasant odor.
One room had a thread bare chair and fridge in the bathroom. A maid started to
vacuum outside of my room at 7:45. Did not enjoy my stay.

This was the third time I stayed at this hotel. I asked for the same room on the
3rd floor overlooking Courtney Street. Noisy but not much more than many city
hotels. The price is good - but I didn't pay high season, once that kicks in you
may find the larger hotels offer better value. There is no gym, and the pool is
clean but not very appealing. But the location is great! You can walk everywhere
and there is a Tim Hortons three blocks down Blanshard :-)

They changed the type of room we paid for without consulting. They gave grossly
inaccurate pricing about nearby parking which more than doubled the price. The
remote control didn't work, and they were unable to provide one that worked, and
they didn't bother to even try to fix it. They simply stated that it was the
last remote...

The hotel was fully booked due to the Times Columnist 10km race which was why we
were there. We were fortunate enough to have our room upgraded to a larger room
with kitchen, patio, pull out sofa and a jacuzzi bath. They had free internet
and a computer that was available for our use in the lobby as well. It is
convenient to downtown Victoria without being on a very busy street.

The best thing about the Quality Inn Victoria is the location and economic
value. Having to pay for parking in the hotel parking lot. Not expected and not
appreciated. |
