While a little dated we love the "Victorian-age" look. We were upgraded to a
suite and enjoyed kitchen with utensils. Walked to nearby Thrift Grocery. No
breakfast is provided but there is a restaurant. Everything in Victoria is more
expensive so our $278 booking for 3 nights (2 double beds) was great. We walk a
lot so it was the perfect launching spot for our explorations. Excellent service
from hotel staff -- although they ran out of regular coffee for rooms.
Apparently the hotel is in bankruptcy and on the market to be sold but we felt
no ill effects. Would definitely stay again...

We had scheduled a queen bed but were upgraded to a king bed - much appreciated.
The room was clean - nothing fancy - but very comfortable. The area is within
walking distance of the BC Ferry and is in a quiet area. The hotel restaurant
served meals - no complimentary breakfast though. We were within walking
distance of the downtown area and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and
helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing place to
stay.

This was my second stay at the Huntingdon Inn. I chose it because of the great
location on Victoria's Inner Harbour - it is within walking distance of the
waterfront, the Ogden Point First Nations Murals and the city centre - and the
reasonable price for this time of year. (Victoria hotels get pretty pricey in
high season.) The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, even after I'd
left. I forgot a couple of things in a drawer in my room and, when I phoned,
they immediately looked for them and put them aside for me until I could make
arrangements to get them back. The decor is a bit dated but the room was clean
and well-maintained, the bed comfortable and there was lots of hot water for
showers. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance as well as
the BC Museum and Inner Harbour attractions.

I stayed at the Huntingdon with my daughter. We had distant Harbor views which
was nice. However the room was quite warm as there is no air conditioning. Even
with the window open as far as it would go the room did not cool down enough at
night and we had to run the fan which was noisy. Breakfast is available although
not included in the price. It would have been nice to have had a hotel/area
guide with basic information in the room like I have had in every other hotel
but there was no information at all and when I mentioned this to the young lady
at the reception this did not seem to matter. The room seemed clean enough
although our pillows were too soft and lumpy. If I stayed there again it would
certainly not be in the summer months.

Got into town kind of late from the Anacortes ferry and found this hotel while
walking around. Nice grounds and we were shown a couple of rooms by the very
helpful front desk young lady. Decided on the newly renovated suite with a
harbor view. Very nice room with a kitchenette area and a loft sleeping area.
Very nice large window overlooking the harbor. They have secure parking (extra
$$), laundry and Internet. Would definitely stay there again.
Had a huge wait in the customs line coming off the ferry! Don't know why they
were taking so long with practically everyone.

This hotel was an excellent value. It is two minutes from the ferry and is
within easy walking distance to the center of town.
