This hotel is fairly new yet it already has a run down look to it. The carpet in
the hallways is wrinkled and fraying. The bathroom was an oddity. While we
appreciate the effort to reduce the amount of laundry to be done, giving the
guest exactly one towel per person felt stingy. I would have gladly used the
same towel for a few days but there was no option for that. Also, there was only
one towel rack in the bathroom and the hand towel rack was beneath the sink and
vanity, making it difficult to reach. The air con/heater was very loud, so loud
that the room next door's air con kept us awake. The bed skirt was badly
stained, the opposing wall had something on that I can only hope was mayonnaise.
The carpet in the room had a few stains. The bathroom shower was awful but after
I complained they sent maintenance right away to fix it. The bathroom floor
grout was almost black from dirt, disgusting... The phones were set to the
loudest setting possible and we ended up turning one off as even the low setting
was too loud, The bed site table stand had a drawer, but the handle was broken
so no way of opening it.
Positives: Staff were friendly, food at the pub was good, room service was quick
and good, the bed was comfortable,

Upon first entering the hotel you see you are entering one of the newly
built/renovated Sheraton properties, but unfortunately the experience dwindles.
The hardwood flooring entry into my room was not fastened properly to the floor,
so the boards shifted every time I walked in and out. The shower was not cleaned
sufficiently (caulked areas dirty). A printer was not available in the business
center, so you had to send your documents to the front desk for printing, but
that did not work for me or my business associate. My TV also was very slow and
methodical to operate. The only saving grace of this location is the restaurant
in the lower level, but I would not stay here again.

We had a very polite clerk check us in. My six year old was grumpy and tired, my
teen was too busy texting her friends about how she hated being away from them
but her parents were torturing her ...., my hubby and I were too tired to take
the ferry back so we decided to stay overnight. It was so clean, grand and
comfortable. The staff got my son involved in a conversation about the Canucks
and Boston playoffs. They gave us some wonderful suggestions on Family dining.
We ended up at a little Mexican cantina that i would never have found on my own.
Even my teen loved it. The next day they told me about this little store that
was filled with xmas decorations. It was a hit with our family and now we are
ready for xmas decorations in our new home. Our first xmas there is going to
have a piece of Victoria. We ended up staying another day as we visited a castle
and we even witnessed some native cultural events going on in a little town
called Mechosin. I have to recommend the super friendly team of employees from
the managers all the way down to the bell persons. They paid attention to every
detail and kept attention to all our needs. We felt absolutely royal. This is a
fabulous hotel that you have to come to if you want to visit a town that really
has too much to do. Oh yes the rooms and amenities were superb just as you would
expect from a Sheraton ! We will be going back i'm sure....

Finding rooms very pricey in downtown Victoria, we settled on this hotel, which
is in a suburb of Victoria. Yes, it is a 10- to 15-minute drive to downtown, but
the price was great, the parking is ample and free and you are close to hiking
and nature thanks to nearby parks. As an added bonus, the hotel has a really
nice cedar patio bar that on a nice evening is as wonderful, relaxing place to
have a drink (we did not take any meals at the hotel, so cannot speak to the
food, though they do offer gluten free options). The hotel is very clean and our
housekeepers did a lovely job everyday. The carpet could do with replacing as
could the throw pillows, but really these are small points considering the
price. The lobby area is really nice and has a fireplace, which I bet is really
special in the winter. There is an indoor pool, which is small and was busy when
we looked in. The workout room was also quite small, but had the basics. There
is a Starbucks, Tim Horton's, McDonalds and more in close proximity. I enjoyed
our stay. We drove in to Victoria several times and never had trouble finding
parking on the street or in a lot. Prices were okay--much less than downtown
