The staff at the front desk was pretty helpful for the
most part! I really appreciated Amanda, she was great; a
thumbs up for her! I was a little disappointed that the
pool closed at 11pm. I was also disappointed with the
service at the restaurant in the hotel (we were not
served right away and the customer service was a little
off). I got a really good deal on this hotel from
priceline so I couldn't be happier (came out to be $55
plus tax per night). I was actually quite content that
no one complained about how loud my music was :). The
room was pretty small but it was quite clean. I was
really confused with the shower; the water in the shower
turned really hot and really cold at random times (I
almost got burned). Also, I am not sure that the heat
worked, it was really cold in the room. But overall, the
hotel was pretty good for a 3 star hotel. I was overly
impressed! Parking is $12, but if you are staying here
on the weekend you can find street parking for free!
Room Tip: Ask for the seventh floor (this will help you
stay away from animals) Ask for a refrigerator and
microwave (all rooms do not come with these appliances)
Make sure you ask if the heat in the room works

Thank you to the management and staff of the Harbour
Towers Hotel for another fantastic stay for the Cops for
Cancer Tour de Rock Team and Volunteers. This group of
40 stayed in comfortable clean rooms with wonderful beds
and beautiful views. The staff were extremely
accommodating and always helpful. Going that extra mile,
the Harbour Towers supported this Team in their fight
against childhood cancer by hosting special events,
providing extra rooms for travelling Team members and
providing family and friends with special rates. We LOVE
staying at the Harbour Towers and hope to be there again
next year!

We stayed here for one night after visiting the
beautiful Butchart Gardens. I will agree with the other
reviewers that say the place is in need of an update.
First, there isn't any air conditioning, so it was
uncomfortably hot all afternoon and evening in our room
and made it difficult for us to sleep. Also, the room is
pretty plain, nothing decorative about it at all. Our
view from out the window was mostly of the roof, but we
could see a bit of the harbour and the sunrise the next
day. Two things that were outstanding were dining at
Vic's restaurant downstairs and being able to walk to
the Blackball Ferry the next day since we had to leave
our car overnight there in order to catch an early
departure back to the US. Overall, the room was very
clean, staff friendly and helpful, but we would think
twice about staying here in the summer.

This hotel is steps away from downtown Victoria, which
is nice. The look and feel of this place reminds me of
an hotel stuck in the early 80's...Chairs, couch and
duvet are definitely 30+ years old. If it is hot or
muggy, forget about being "cool" in this hotel, it is
non-existent. They have a nice gym, but who wants to
train in a WARM gym, you will dehydrate without even
exercising in minutes. Too bad because the location is
very nice...but the magic of the first date is gone.
Good bye Harbour Towers. |
