I stayed at the Howard Johnson on Elk Lake Drive recently and thoroughly
enjoyed my stay. The restaurant was fabulous, exceeded our expectations.

The Howard Johnson Hotel and Suites is located in Victoria on Elk Lake
you will need a car as it is about a 10-15 min drive to downtown
Victoria. They have a bunch of things at the hotel like a restaurant,

Driving instructions from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal:
After exiting from the ferry terminal you will find yourself on the
Patricia Bay Highway. Stay on the Highway for approximately 15 minutes
until you pass Elk Lake on your right hand side. The first light past
Elk Lake is Elk Lake Dr. where you will exit to your right. Stay on Elk
Lake Dr. and you will quickly reach the Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites.
Driving instructions from Downtown Victoria:
Stay on Trans Canada Highway until you reach the McKenzie intersection
where you will follow signs to Highway #17, B.C. Ferries Swartz Bay, and
Victoria Int'l Airport. Once you have reached Highway 17 you will travel
for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the Royal Oak Exit. There
will also be a Howard Johnson sign alerting you to this exit. Take the
Royal Oak Exit and turn left on Royal Oak. Cross the overpass, and turn
right on Elk Lake Dr. You will soon see the Howard Johnson Hotel &
Suites on your left hand side.
