First of all it's important to note that this motel is not geared towards the traveller who is in town for a 2-3 night stay. As the name of the property suggests, it's for extended stays, namely 1 week and longer and what is supposed to be a budget price. At first look, I was sorely disappointed by the poor condition of the outer walkway turf. The rooms themselves are complemented by beds that are in poor condition and guaranteed to give you a back and neck ache every single morning. The TV's are in poor working condition which is to say they are old and fading in color. Be advised that while the price may be right for Victoria on an extended stay it is not for everyone.

I was pleased with the friendly service from most of the staff. The room was a disappointment as it was much older than what was pictured on the Traveller's Inn website. There were only three very dim lights in the room, which made it very gloomy and I had to go purchase brighter light bulbs myself. There is no closet but only a very small area by the door to hang clothes on. The washroom looked newer than the rest of the room; probably renovated before. The beds were comfortable and the maids do a nice job of cleaning. The kitchen area is very small and was also a disappointment.

I agree with the opinion that this inn is not in a very good area . The downtown locations are more convenient and are safer. Another thing is while they advertise that they have wireless internet, they actually don't. You have to wait for the computer in their small lobby and sometimes the wait takes forever. The staff sometimes offer to call your room to let you know when the computer is free so you don't have to stand in the lobby and wait.

This motel is basic and clean. Yes some of the rooms can be a bit gloomy and the area isn't the best but the location is a short walk to downtown Victoria, perfect for exploring. My family have stayed here several times over the last 5 years and we find it suits our purposes well. Staff are friendly and helpful. One suggestion I would make to the management is that the kitchens in the extended stay suites are modernized as they are a bit old, however they are well looked after and clean.
I would definitely stay here again as it is good value for money and the location is excellent.
