We stayed in a one bedroom suite with king bed in
December 2011. We were 3 adults but the unit will easily
accommodate 2 couples. The bedroom is separate and there
is a sleeper couch in the living area which is quite
comfy. The unit had a full kitchen as well. The unit is
lovely and very neat and tastefully decorated. The staff
is very friendly and helpful. Parking is free. There is
a shuttle service to the downtown area - free of charge.
The hotel is just one block away from the inner harbour,
and almost next door to the parliament buildings - a
great location. We had breakfast in the restaurant and
it was good.
I was impressed with this hotel and can recommend it

It's an older hotel, but very well maintained. Nice
rooms, good indoor pool area, great staff and a great
location make this a very good option for those visiting
Victoria. We stayed for 2 nights on a Butchart Gardens
package, the rate was very reasonable. I recommend this
hotel for families visiting Victoria.

We stayed at the Royal Scot for 2 nights in December to
relax and visit the Butchart Gardens Christmas light
display. We took advantage of midweek special rates that
were an outstanding deal. The hospitality at this hotel
was outstanding from check-in to check out. We arrived
mid morning on the early ferry from Port Angeles, WA,
and our room was available for check-in. However, if the
room had not been ready, the staff had secure luggage
storage and would have been happy to keep it for us
until later in the day. We had a regular room with a
king bed, wide screen tv with DVD player, small
refrigerator, & a balcony. We were on the back side of
the hotel facing a side street and it was very quiet.
Room was spacious for two people and clean. Bathroom
area was very well lit and also clean. Location is
excellent for walking to the downtown area, and a
complimentary shuttle is available if it is raining and
you decide not to walk! We had one hot breakfast and one
dinner in the restaurant and the food was average. On
the negative side. The bed was a pillow top and too soft
for both my travel partner and I as we have back
problems. We rented a car for overnight to drive out to
the gardens and had to pay $10 parking at the hotel.
However, they informed us if we had rented with Budget
car rental, the parking fee is waived. Overall, a
pleasant and romantic time.

We spent 8 nights at the Royal Scot Hotel and had a
wonderful time. We had reserved a studio suite and the
hotel upgraded us to a one bedroom suite. It was a great
size - living room, dining room, full kitchen, king bed,
nice bathroom, a hall linen closet, and a coat closet.
It was nice to be able to stretch out. The Wi-fi was
free as were newspapers every day. Housekeeping was
wonderful. The pool and sauna were very nice and there
was a fitness center with several pieces of equipment.
Plus, it was really close to the Parliament Building,
the Royal BC Museum, the Empress hotel, and the harbor.
Everything seemed to be within easy walking distance.
And, there was a complimentary shuttle, if needed. We
also ate dinner in the attached restaurant several
times. Great food. Also, there was a small store in the
hotel that had souvenirs and various food items
including jelly, peanut butter, cereal, sandwiches, ice
cream, etc.

Located close to the Legislature Building and Harbour.
Downtown area all in walking distance. Very clean
comfortable and lots of space for our 4 night stay.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. We only ate
Breakfast at the restaurant, but that was all good.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Room Tip: We had a basic double...with two queen sized
beds....but it was a good sized room. For longer stays a
kitchenette suite would be useful. |
