This hotel offered uncommonly good service. The room was lovely, clean and
nicely appointed.
The restaurant had fabulous meals. Chose to return to dine there rather than
exploring another untried place. We don't usually do that but this time it
seemed the best.
Very nicely located. We walked everywhere we went.
Victoria is lovely no matter how one visits but the stay at this hotel
accentuated the pleasures of our stay.

Our Christmas dreams came true as we shared the blessings of our year with
business associates, family and lifelong friends. We checked in on December
26,2011 for a special time to be together. From the moment our eyes turned into
he beautifully lit entryway ff the street-until we unlocked the door to our
delightful and spacious suite our minds danced in anticipation of what would be
ahead during our stay. The staff were professional and very caring in a real
way, as if you were with friends who mattered.. Nothing was overlooked and yet
the feeling of of privacy and freedom was honored. There in no where in Victoria
we will stay, as once you have been cared for by the best nothing else could
compare. Everyone was so happy with the Chateau Victoria that a reservation for
Christmas 2012 celebrations has already been booked and all who shared cannot
wait to return.
Thank You for the perfect present.

On our previous trip we stayed at the Empress but were not impressed. Place
seemed crowded and not particularly restful. Decided to try the Chateau Victoria
and were we ever glad we did.
The front desk and lobby staff were extremely helpful. The ground floor lounge
had great food at lunch, not what you would expect from a bar. Super Burgers,
Crab Cakes, etc. Suite was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Next time we
come to Victoria we plan to come over from the Olympic Peninsula, where we live,
on our own boat and stay again at the Chat. Vic. Keep up the great
accommodations.

I travel to Victoria several times a year for business, and after trying a
couple different places, have settled on Chateau Vic as my preferred hotel in
the city. The hotel has a very nice feel to it. It is a little older and doesn't
have all the frills, but the rooms are comfortable, very clean and spacious. The
staff are efficient and friendly and the restaurant and lounge are both great.
The location is perfect; you are in walking distance of all the city has to
offer, and for all the this the price can't be beat.
Room Tip: Make sure to request a room with balcony to enjoy the beautiful views

We arrived in Victoria after spending the previous three-and-a-half days on a
trans-Canadian train trip. We were greeted at the front entrance and promptly
checked in despite arriving two-hours ahead of the scheduled check-in time and
the hotel had hosted a full-house the previous evening and was doing the same
again that evening.
The hotel has standard rooms on the lower floors and larger suites on the top
floors. We stayed in two suites and they were fantastic. The price difference
(about $20) was well worth the extra space and views.
The hotel was clean all-around and furniture was quite comfortable.
We did eat in their restaurant on the 18th floor (Vista 18) and that was
wonderful as well. The service, food and views couldn't be beat and all we had
to do was take the elevator. The restaurant was in the higher price-range but
was a treat to us from a relative.
The location was superb and in walking distance to everything: shops,
transportation, parks, water, etc. Even though it was in the heart of the city,
it was quiet.
The only negative thing we encountered was during a search for a wheelchair for
my grandmother. We wanted to rent one to go around the city with her. We
inquired at the front desk and were given one reference which we were unable to
confirm until the following day. We learned they had nothing in working order. I
did tell the hotel later that day that we were unable to locate a wheelchair,
only to learn that the Red Cross would also rent for free - and drop off at the
hotel. After a brief conversation with the staff member working during the day,
she ensured us that more references for aids would be available in the future.
All in all, a wonderful hotel and we would definitely go back.
Room Tip: If you're staying more than a day, opt for a suite. Beautiful views
from balconies and separate bedrooms from living space. |
