I have stayed here 3 times in the last couple of years. i come back because it
is clean and safe for women to stay at. and a very good price. It is an older
style hotel but well maintained with newer bathrooms. The front desk staff are
very nice and efficient. We now ask for a room near the back to get away from
the busy street noise. Have not used the small pool or the small restaurant.
Free parking. It is on the bus route to downtown but there is a large mall
across the street and my favorite restaurant Macaroni Grill, now Luca's.
Room Tip: rooms in the back are much quieter, easier to find parking too if you
drive under the canopy.

Not the Ritz but the hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient. Was here over
the Thanksgiving weekend while visiting family and found everything to be in
great shape for an older motel. If you're not too concerned about fancy
amenities but insist on good front desk staff, a manager who you'll actually see
around the property and a clean, comfortable room then don't hesitate to book
here. Great if you have a car to get around the city and just plan on using the
room for sleeping. Very good value for money!

Great service at the front desk both check in and out. Young energetic staff
willing to offer guidance on where to eat and where to park in downtown. Most
comfortable bed too. Good location, great price. Will be back.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is an older hotel. Thankfully
its been flawlessly kept up, so even if the decor is dated, the rooms are
squeaky clean. Didn't use the pool, so can't comment on that. Didn't need the
staff for anything beyond checking in and out; they were very friendly and gave
no hassle. Transit-friendly if you know the bus routes. Failing that it takes
about 20 minutes to walk downtown. Stayed here over a long weekend and will do
so again.
Room Tip: one of the "back rooms" (ie through the breezeway) back up onto a car
dealership, so less ambient noise in those.

Pros: clean, nice staff, can do currency exchange, bus to downtown right outside
Cons: I wouldn't quite say it's walk able to downtown. Our non-smoking room had
a window above an ashtray outside, which didn't prove to be an issue during our
stay (we just shut the window when we left for the day).
Overall would stay here again if affordable places right in the heart of
downtown are booked.

We stayed here while in Victoria. It is very central to a plastic surgery
clinic, the Mayfair mall, Dennys, Kentucky Fried Chicken etc... Not too far to
the inner harbor. Clean, quiet rooms. Very friendly staff.

I have worked in hotels for years with this job I have also stayed in many
hotels. I must say this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. It was
clean and the staff you couldn't help but fall in love with the. We traveled
with 5 kids youngest being 6 the oldest being 15, the staff made up and extra
bed on the floor at last minute. We had a late night chill the front desk staff
was so kind to run us up some more blankets and was quick to ask if there was
anything else they could do for us. I can't wait to go back there again and
again.

This motel had everything we needed, staff were friendly, rooms were clean and
big. It was just a bit too far out and on a main road next to a car dealership.
Downtown is walkable and the friendly reception staff showed as an alternative
route from just walking down Douglas St, it took us along the coast and was far
prettier. It takes around 30 mins to walk into downtown and there are buses
running from just outside for anybody not wanting to walk. They also offer a
courtesy shuttle bus upon request.

This is a very reasonable place to stay. The rooms have good beds and pillows.
Not alot of extras but clean. It is across from the Mayfair Mall which offers
many shopping options. It also has a small cafe attached, which has a varied
menu and very good service, food and portions. I would stay again.

Our reservations at another location were invalidated when they would not accept
debit card as payment. Stressed out in an unfamiliar city, we drove up the main
street for other options. Something about the Blue Ridge Inn looked inviting so
we went in to the office. Yes! They accepted debit. Yes! They had a room
available for 3 nights. Plus the room amenities included a mini-fridge and a
microwave, a bonus over the other location. Our housekeepers (who left a card
each morning with their names) were fastidious. The pool was clean and cool. The
front desk staff were friendly and answered all of our questions with grace--we
even got a map of downtown with recommendations marked on it. If I ever get to
Victoria again, I'm definitely staying here. I will tell all my friends this is
the place to stay in this city.

A short bus ride from the more expensive downtown hotels and within easy walking
distance to the bus stop, the shopping mall and eating places. The staff were
most courteous and the room was very comfortable, clean and serviceable. Plenty
of free parking space and a well heated indoor pool. Well recommended. |
