Alcoa’s Ridge to River Relay is a six-leg relay race involving cross country
skiing, downhill skiing/snowboarding, running, biking, kayak/canoeing and
portage. It takes place in Wenatchee, Washington; a 35-mile Traditional
Wenatchee Course or a 20-mile Columbia Course, beginning at the summit of
Mission Ridge and finishing at Walla Walla Point Park on the banks of the
Columbia River.
Ridge to River is a fund raiser for the Retired Senior Volunteer Center of NCW,
the local volunteer center and as many as 40 local non-profit groups.
