Hotel Reviews Westin Bellevue

Excellent hotel with nice amenities. Modern, clean and in downtown Bellevue. Its
a short walk to some major companies' corporate offices, and across from a nice
mall and some upscale restaurants. Clean rooms, open area, nice restaurant on
site. A bit more expensive than the other options in Bellevue, but worth it. The
added costs for parking seemed excessive, but not a huge deal. Comfortable beds
and large rooms. Nice on-site gym as well. Excellent choice for business
travelers staying in Bellevue.

We stayed here for our honeymoon night. We booked a basic king room since we
arrived late and splurged on our actual trip - took a cruise out of Seattle to
Alaska. We didn't want to stay in Seattle due to the expense and Seafair. This
hotel is very professional and is centrally located in downtown Bellevue. We
checked in very late and had lots of luggage. The front desk called someone to
take our luggage to the room. This was such a nice service since we had a lot!
My only gripe would be that if you want extra coffee in your room you have to
pay extra for it. Also for the price of the room the bottled water should be
complimentary. Overall the hotel was perfect for what we needed.

My husband and I have stayed in the Bellevue Westin at least 3 times and are
looking forward to our anniversary on the 14th of August, for a weekend getaway.
We have tried Marriot in Bellevue and the Westin in Seattle and were very
disappointed with both of those experiences. If you are coming to the
Seattle/Bellevue area and have a choice of where to stay, stay in BELLEVUE! The
atmosphere of the city is safe, lighted and cheerful. The location just simply
cannot be beat! The rooms/suites are so beautiful and most have nice views of
the city. The beds are wonderful and the overall feel of the hotel, other than
the initial parking/checkin, is quiet. Each floor just has a nice "white noise",
or whatever it is that made it feel calm and relaxing. Just an all around great
hotel!

We just returned from staying two nights at the Westin. We paid $199 per night
with a $100 gift certificate to be used at any store in Bellevue Square which
was an awesome deal for us because the sole purpose of our trip was to shop. The
hotel is conveniently located directly across from the mall (even has a
connecting walkway) with several new restaurants near the hotel. The customer
service is very good as expected in all Westin hotels but depending on the
location of your room (i.e. Fifth floor is supposedly very loud because the
rooms overlook a fan), it can be quite noisy. We had the breakfast buffet ($20
per person) at the hotel restaurant/cafe and weren't exactly thrilled at the
selection or quality of food but there are plenty of other restaurants nearby to
try. There is also the Cheesecake Factory directly across the street inside the
mall. But we found that the front desk is readily available to give
recommendations on where to go and what to eat and they were all very friendly
and nice to deal with. The valet parking costs $27 per night but it is worth it
if you don't want the hassle of driving to and from different stores. You will
need a car to go to Neiman Marcus which is quite a few blocks away from the
hotel but Nordstrom and Macy's is directly across the street from the hotel.
We won't be going out of our way to stay at the Westin next time around unless
they have the same offer ($100 gift certificate) available. But all in all, it
was a pleasant stay.

Nothing beats staying at a Westin and the Westin Bellevue is a perfect refection
of the brand. The heavenly amenities, especially the beds are the main reason we
keep coming back. For this trip, the Westin Bellevue provided a nice alternative
to staying in Seattle. Comfortable, modern and well appointed, we were very
happy. The pool and sun deck are fabulous.
One thing I'll never understand and it drives me crazy is the cost of Internet
and parking. As a Starwood member, I don't understand how Internet could not be
provided - there's even a separate floor at this hotel? Traveling from Canada
it's cheaper for me to roam on my iPhone than it is to pay the hotel rates for
Internet. What gives?

I am returning to Westin, Bellevue for the second time, once in 2009 & now in
2010. I loved the hotel because it is located just at centre of Bellvue city.
One can easily walk to any important location, be it the bus stop, be it the
shopping centre, or restaurants. Westin has elegant look from inside and outside
as well. I loved the breakfast spread every morning I have stayed for 6 days.

The Room Stayed here for 5 days for a conference. I'd happily stay here again at
my own expense.
Good points: The room was large, comfortable and well furnished. The bed was
fantastically comfortable! The hotel was clean and modern looking, the amenities
in good condition - the pool was pretty nice. The cozy bathrobe was a nice plus.
It also is well located opposite a big mall and surrounded by good restaurants
and bars.
Bad points: The only downsides were the expensive internet access ($15/day!) and
the mediocre breakfast ($20). The meals provided at the conference were pretty
good though.

The Westin is a wonderful property. We travel with our two small dogs and the
staff and the concierge couldn't be better.
The hotel made all of our dinner reservations, asking the restaurants to know
that we were repeat customers. With this we received the best seating (i.e.
Daniel's Broiler) and managed to get into John Howie's as well. Again, the team
at the Westin goes above and beyond.
I hate to write anything but a nice review, but I have to agree with what I saw
also read before: the room serivce needs a bit of work. We stayed at this
property several times, and ordered room service about seven times, and five out
of seven times there were problems. Once I ordered the marghareta pizza, only to
get the meat lover's pizza. My husband ordered a turkey/avacado/salsa wrap and
the salsa was omitted. This might seem trite, but when the bill is about $40.00
you take notice. The staff was very apologetic about this, but nothing was
really done about it. I think the problem is that they try to expedite the meal
by getting it to you in 30 minutes or less, (like Dominos pizza). We prefer to
have a formal meal in a nice restaurant, but then get munchies and breakfast via
room serivce....not really a good plan here at the Westin.
Still, we prefer this property to the Hyatt. It's more intimate and of course,
dog-friendly. The rooms are quite nice, with Heavenly beds for people and their
pets.
We will stay there again! |
