Winter Sports
With close proximity to two mountains, Seattle is a Mecca for winter sports enthusiasts. Enjoy downhill, cross-country and telemark skiing, snowboarding, sledding and snowshoeing at Crystal Mountain, Snoqualmie Pass or Stevens Pass. The winter sports seasons runs from the end of November through the beginning of April.

NORDIC SKIING  IN WASHINGTON

For Nordic events, Washington has more than a dozen areas that feature hundreds of miles of groomed trails, plus an endless variety of pristine backcountry and cross-country skiing havens.

In addition to cross-country skiing, snowshoes allow trails to be used throughout the winter and spring. Mt. Rainer, Olympic National Park's Hurricane Ridge, and the Okanogan's Methow Valley have developed extensive trail systems for winter hikers.
